On today_s Naked News, a travel warning from the UAE, A record COKE bust in New Zealand and a state of Emergency in Florida, Here_s Kat Curtis with a Naked News Bulletin Elise, the United Arab Emirates has issued a travel warning to its citizens, suggesting that they refrain from wearing their traditional dress abroad. This follows an incident in Avon, Ohio over the weekend where Emirati businessman Ahmed al-Menhali was handcuffed at gunpoint over terrorism fears. According to statements, a hotel clerk texted her family that al-Menhali had been pledging his support to ISIS, and they called the police. After speaking directly to the front desk clerk, police learned that in fact no statements relating to ISIS had been made. Al-Menhali has since received a public apology from Avon_s mayor and police chief. They say you shouldn_t look a gift horse in the mouth. What they don_t say is that there might be cocaine in there New Zealand police discovered 35 BRICKS of cocaine in the neck of an 881-pound horse sculpture This is the biggest ever drug haul for the country_s police force, with an estimated value of over TEN MILLION dollars In connection to the crime, police arrested two Mexicans and an American. And just as millions of people hit the beach in Florida to cool off, a toxic algae bloom has forced Florida Governor Rick Scott to declared a state of emergency. The foul-smelling blue-green algae has covered their water and stormed beaches in 4 counties. And believe it or not, it_s a man made disaster. The algae bloom is the result of controlled discharges from the polluted Lake Okeechobee. A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers has explained that the environmental impact of releasing the lake water has to be balanced against the potential flooding and public safety hazard of NOT releasing it. The Florida Department of Health has said people should avoid contact with the algae, with children and pets considered particularly vulnerable. Don_t go away.

At sixty-three million vehicles, this will be the biggest automotive recall America has ever seen. And thanks to the ruling of a high court in China, Apple will not be the only company able to use the term _iPhone_ in the Asian country. Apple brought the trademark dispute against a leather goods company who filed to use the term in China in 2007, the year the iPhone first hit the market. Apple has been pursuing this case since 2012. The court ruled that Apple had failed to make ITS iPhone sufficiently familiar to the public when the leather company registered the name. Speaking in nearby Detroit, the president said he_d be BESIDE himself if HE were a parent in Flint. The president called the crisis an important reminder NOT to short-change basic services and said that he would fully back Mayor Karen Weaver during the terrible tragedy. Kat, NASA says it was OVERWHELMED by the number of applications it received in its latest search for astronauts. The application deadline closed on Thursday and in the past 2 months, the space agency received more than 18,300 resumes NASA will now spend the next 18 months whittling the big number down to between 8 and 14 applicants. If you applied we wish you luck because you_ll need it This year_s applicants have about a 0.07 chance of being selected. NASA will announce the new class in mid-2017 British bank, HSBC is rolling out hefty new security features it hopes will protect customers against hackers. The bank announced voice and fingerprint-enabled account features that they call simpler and more secure than conventional passwords or pins. HSBC says it will save people the hassle of having to remember their banking passwords, which can often lead to frustration. The new security tech will be made available to British customers FIRST, this summer, and will get a US release later this year. And for the first time since his arrest, the wife of drug kingpin Joaquin El Chapo Guzman has spoken out. In an interview with Telemundo, Emma Coronel Aispuro, says she fears for her husband_s life and hasn_t talked to him since he was recaptured on January 8th. The former beauty queen married El Chapo on her 18th birthday in 2007. He was fifty at the time. Guzman spent the majority of their marriage on the run from authorities. Coronel Aispuro says that she believes he_s being punished for breaking out of prison last summer - a bold move that brought shame to Mexican government officials. I wouldn_t be surprised if that was the case Kat. Mexico was basically the laughing stock of the world after he escaped. Yeah, on a motorcycle through a tunnel almost a mile long. The warning was released Monday and is based on current information suggesting that ISIS, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram are planning further attacks in the wake of the recent Paris tragedy. Americans are being warned to be especially careful in public places or when using transportation during the upcoming holiday season. The alert will remain in effect until February 24th. When it comes to dealing with terrorism, Hillary Clinton is the most trusted presidential candidate. This according to a Washington PostABC News poll. Half of voters believe Hillary has what it takes, while just 42 percent would put their faith in Donald Trump. Terrorism is set to be a key point in the 2016 election with those queried voting it the SECOND most important issue facing Americans, behind the economy. And the Canadian government will limit its Syrian refugee program to women, children and families only. The country has pledged to take in 25 thousand refugees before the end of the year. According to Canadian news sources, this will NOT include unaccompanied men seeking asylum due to ongoing security concerns. Potential applicants will undergo screening by both the UN as well as Canadian immigration officials before being allowed into the country.
