Whitney, when you show up to work and you_re told you_ll be hosting a DUNK TANK segment, you know you_re in for a good dayOnly on Naked News right On the one hand I_m glad I didn_t have to go in there, but on the other I wish I_d been there to SEE it.Well trust me, it was a lot of fun and caused some serious chaos WHICH you_re about to see. Thanks you two. So yeah, a dunk tank. We challenged Pan Am athletes and regular ol folk to see WHO could dunk a Naked News anchor. Here_s how it all went down It was an unforgettable day for everyone involved, and I want to give special credit to Kat and Carli for being such good sports If you liked that you_ll want to watch for our crazy Pan Am water gun challenge coming next week Now speaking of Ms. Bei, let_s send it over to her for the latest from the Pan Am gamesThanks Eila The United States padded its lead in the medal count by adding 7 golds, including a winning performance in men_s fencing. Cuban pole vaulter Yarisley Silva won gold by clearing 4.85 meters - the highest of any woman this year. Mexican long-distance runner Brenda Flores set a Pan Am record in the 10-thousand meters final, crossing the finish line in 32 minutes and 41 seconds. How_s this for perseverance? Canadian cyclist Jasmin Glaesser wouldn_t let a flat tire keep her off the podium in the women_s 19.5 kilometer cycling trial. Despite having to deal with the flat midway through her race, Glaesser got back in the saddle and rode to a silver medal. And we have a new favorite Pan Am athlete here at Naked News. American boxer Cam Awesome. He lost his semifinal heavyweight bought against a Cuban fighter, which means he won_t make the podium. But we_re giving him the gold medal for giving sports fans one of the wackiest post-fight interviews everWhen you_re called Cam Awesome you_d better BE awesome, and the heavyweight clearly lives up to his name Now let_s cap things off with a look at the latest medal standings

It was kinda tough at first to find someone who wanted to sit in the chair. Being the brave young women that they are, Kat and Carli eventually stepped up. But you know what was REALLY surprising. Just how hard it was for people to hit the target. It had to be dead center or you were out of luck. But don_t you worry because Kat and Carli BOTH got absolutely soaked. Kat went first, and I knew she was in trouble when the Canadian Men_s Baseball team showed up and she trash talked former major league pitcher Scott Richmond So yeah, THAT happened In your face Kat Curtis. Needless to say it was an awesome day - everyone had a lot of fun, and I have to give credit to our anchors for being such good sports. You can catch the FULL segment on our Dunk Tank extravaganza next week Now for more on the 2015 Pan Am games, let_s send you over to Carli BeiEila, as I reported on Wednesday, Kanye West will be the headline performer at the closing ceremonies. Well it looks like the people of Toronto aren_t too happy about it. An online petition has been launched demanding that Kanye be replaced with a Canadian artist. The petition - which has quickly garnered thousands of signatures - says West_s controversial public persona does not embody the values of the games. As long as they don_t replace him with Celine Dion, I_m good. In other news, it appears four members of the Cuban rowing team have defected to the United States The team_s coach says the men - who were among 150 Cuban athletes in Toronto - left and crossed the border, which was a short distance from where the rowing events were being held. One man - Orlando Sotolongo - won a silver medal before skipping town. Agents for the athletes say harsh economic conditions inside of Cuba drove the men to defect. Here_s some background: The Columbus Zoo is widely considered one of the best zoos in North America, with over two million people visiting a year, generally without incident.Enter Joshua Newell. He recently visited the zoo, and while at the cougar habitat, started calling here kitty, kitty. Some of the big cats came over to check things out. Pretty lucky, right? I mean, if you go to a zoo, you always hope the animals will come close enough for you to really get a good look. But our guy Joshua had other ideas. So he hopped over the four-foot barrier, stuck his hand through the two metal fences, and started petting the animals. He was quoted as saying I figured if the cats going to go out of his way to get some loving, Im going to go ahead and jump the barrier and show him some love. I don_t have to tell you how lucky he is that the cougars chose not to bite off any fingers. And FRANKLY, I dont mean lucky for HIM. I mean lucky for the COUGARS. Do you know what happens when zoo animals maim people? They often get euthanized. Here_s the best part, he tried to DEFLECT some of the blame to the zoo, saying that it was easy to hop the barrier and get to the inner fence. Well, Joshua, literally MILLIONS of other people have been smart enough to NOT do it, so no, we think YOUre the problem. On the plus side, he VIDEOED his little adventure which helped ensure he was quickly arrested, charged, and convicted of criminal trespassing. He_ll spend two days in jail and pay a fine. She_s standing by right now to start us off with a Naked News BulletinDespite what you might think, it_s not just the younger set who are SEXTING A new survey from Drexel University claims that EIGHTY-EIGHT percent of adults eighteen to eighty-two have sexted, at least ONCE And eighty-two percent of them, have sexted in the past YEAR One interesting detail - people in LESS committed relationships reported MORE satisfaction from sexting than people in very committed relationships. Here_s something that may surprise you, TEXTing, L-O-L is O-U-T. A new study from Facebook says that expressing a laugh via the old LOL acronym is down to 2 percent of e-laughs, with haha and hehe used sixty-four percent of the time. Emojis are used thirty four percent. Gender factored in to e-laugh choices, as men mainly used haha and hehe, while women went for the emoji. We_ll finish up with a pretty shocking number. According to the CDC, more than four MILLION American adults admit that they drive drunk. That adds up to a hundred and twenty one million incidents of impaired driving. And that_s likely a lowball number, due to people being unwilling to admit to drunk driving. Designate a driver, folks We_ll be right back.

Thanks ladies Over the past week I_ve interviewed DOZENS of athletes who_ve come from far and wide to compete in the Toronto Pan Am Games. But there_s one type of athlete I_ve encountered more than any other: handball players. Weird right? I didn_t even know handball was a sport until a few days ago. It_s played all over the world, but it_s especially popular in South America. If you_ve never seen it before it_s a sort of mix between basketball and soccer - and lots of fun to watch Let_s get to know a few of the games_ handball players a little better, shall we? What a bunch of great guys And here_s a fun fact about the game I learned. The players use this sticky glue on their hands to get a better grip on the ball. Those post-game handshakes must be NASTY. All right, now I_ll send you over to Carli Bei for another Pan Am update.Thanks Eila, Thursday saw a first at the Pan Am Games: the debut of golf 64 athletes are taking part in this year_s competition, with a mix of pro and amateur players. The Pan Am debut is also a dry run for the return of the sport to the Olympic Games next year in Rio. It_s been 112 years since golf was last included in the summer games. The Pan Am tournament kicked off Thursday and will run through the weekend.And the petition against Kanye West performing at the closing ceremonies is gaining steam. More than 35-thousand people have now added their signatures. The announcement of Kanye_s performance thrilled most athletes, but Torontonians are upset organizers didn_t select a Canadian artist to represent the host city during the event_s final night. They_re hoping to see Yeezus swapped out for some homegrown talent like Drake. Now here_s a look at the latest medal standings

What is the DEAL with this man Andrea? Apparently he_s now saying he DID drug women for sex?That_s right, he basically admitted it during a 2005 deposition. The docs were just unsealed followed a request from the Associated Press.So much for all the denials I guess THIS really blows this story wide open. I think it does and you can bet attorneys for the women who have suits filed against him, will want to use the information. Anyway, here_s what_s going on Kat. Newly released court documents show that Bill Cosby ADMITTED to buying sedatives to give to women he wanted to have sex with. The testimony dates back to a civil suit filed against Cosby in 2005, when a woman accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her. Before settling the case, the fallen comedian testified that he had given several women Quaaludes, as well as Benadryl. The Associated Press successfully petitioned for the case documents to be unsealed after a flood of recent allegations from over a dozen victims.In other news, Shell is set to begin a controversial project drilling for oil in the Arctic. The oil giant was granted permission from the US government back in May and has already committed 7 BILLION dollars in costs. Up to 20 percent of the world_s undiscovered oil and gas reserves could be located under the Arctic, although Shell doesn_t expect to see a commercial return until 2030. Environmentalists object to the project, citing the potential high-risks to the local ecosystem.And Mozambique just burned the world_s largest seizure of rhino horns, and ivory in a public stand against wildlife poaching. The African country has seen its elephant population HALVED in the past 5 years by ivory traffickers, while the rhinoceros has been driven to near extinction within Mozambique. All right, when I say we_ve got a fantastic program for you today, I REALLY mean it_s fantasticIt features one of the most INSANE editions of Versus yet. 2 teams of anchors pitted against each other in an EPIC pizza bake off.And oh my god, I_ve seen some of the footage. You_re going to laugh your ass off, it_s that nutty We_ve also got a new audition. Her name is Samantha, she lives in California and you_ll immediately notice something about her, she_s HOT But first, I hope you_re ready for some Rock and Roll because Carli & Kat have a few stories to tell about their recent adventure to one of the largest rock festivals in North America. It_s called Amnesia Rockfest and here they are to tell you more. Welcome to a special ALL ACCESS edition of Turn It Up Carli and I spent a wild weekend at one of the year_s best heavy metal music festivals: Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello QuebecWhen I heard we_d be spending a weekend camping out and seeing some of my FAVORITE bands I was PUMPED.Me too. And in true rock _n roll style we packed a van with all our gear - and a couple camera men - and hit the open roadOne thing I learned about Kat early on: she_s not a fan of car ride singalongsYeah, that_s not exactly true Carli - I_m just not a fan of cheesy 80_s hair metal. Except Mother Nature had other plans, _cause we got caught in a nasty rain storm on our way in. That left us with two decisions: set up our tents in a rainsoaked field in the dark, or spend the night in the comfort of a roadside motel.Yeah REAL tough call We pulled over and settled in for the night. There_s nothing more rock _n roll than tattoos, right? I already had a few of my own but Kat didn_t. So we killed some time that night by adding some new ones.Removable of course. But yeah, we looked like total badasses. The next morning we got our campsite set up and got startedOne of the great things about having VIP passes? Avoiding lineups and getting special access to the backstage area on a BOAT.And the ride over gave us a chance to brush up on our FrenchOnce we hit land it was clear that Rockfest was going to be one awesome party.And let_s just say there was no shortage of interesting characters.That lady WAS totally hardcore. And also kind of intense. So was that dude with the crazy condom trick - it_s not what you think, people.CB) Definitely one of those things I_ll never be able to UNsee.Now it wasn_t all weird circus acts, Carli.We talked to all kinds of musicians, and one of the first bands we ran into was California punk group the Mad CaddiesLater that night Carli and I cozied up in a tent, and I have to admit I slept like a baby. Must have been all that fresh air.Yeah I loved it. But the camera guys weren_t so excited about sleeping in the great outdoors. Long story short it was a really great adventure, and we can_t wait to share all kinds of awesome new segments with our viewers in the coming weeksWe really never know what_s going to happen when we_re out there with the public.
